A settlement has been reached in a harassment case involving a former University of Iowa doctor.

The Iowa Board of Medicine reports a settlement was reached with Dr. Foad Elahi last week. Under the settlement, Elahi will pay a $2500 civil penalty and must complete a Board-approved professional boundaries program.

Elahi had been an anesthesiologist at the UI Hospitals and Clinics when the alleged incidents took place over several months in 2014. He’s accused of placing his hands on a female co-worker and trying to kiss her before she pushed him away.

He allegedly also followed a female co-worker through a hallway before touching her breast.

Elahi had faced criminal charges of False Imprisonment and two counts of Simple Assault. The false imprisonment charge was dismissed and he was found not guilty on both assault charges. A civil suit was settled in February.

Elahi currently practices at the California Center of Pain Medicine and Rehabilitation in Manteca, Calif.
