Rural Johnson County man accused of burning down girlfriend’s trailer
A rural Johnson County man is accused of burning down his girlfriend’s trailer after an argument.
Investigators say 34-year-old Ryan Lippard and his girlfriend were arguing about a missing key early Wednesday morning when he made threats to burn down her trailer located on the west side of his Lackender Avenue property just west of Hills. Lippard left the property just after midnight, and approximately ten minutes later residents saw the trailer engulfed in flames.
Lippard also sent pictures of the burning trailer to the trailer’s residents. The trailer was listed as a total loss.
Lippard was booked into the Johnson County Jail at 4am Wednesday and charged with 2nd Degree Arson. If convicted, he faces a maximum of ten years in prison.
