IC church buys Stuff Etc. location for $3.5 million

An Iowa City church is acquiring more space on the city’s southeast side.
The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports Parkview Evangelical Church spent $3.5 million to purchase the building that currently houses Stuff Etc. in Pepperwood Plaza. The church has been renting a small area in the back of the building for its Faith Academy.
The 58,420 square foot structure also houses several other businesses, none of which the newspaper reports will be affected by the sale. While Stuff Etc. will move into the old K-Mart building next door, the other businesses are expected to remain in place.
The newspaper reports Parkview Church plans to reconfigure the front of the newly-acquired building over the summer.
The church will also maintain its current location on Foster Road.
