IC man arrested after fight with roommate over beg bugs allegedly turned physical

A fight over bed bugs allegedly turned physical, leading to one roommate allegedly assaulting another.
The incident happened just after 11:15pm on December 20th at 430 South Dodge Street. The alleged victim told police he had a friend over when his roommate, 46-year-old James Kleinbrook, began arguing about bed bugs. Kleinbrook became annoyed because he was still in a towel at the time. Kleinbrook’s roommate and the friend told police Kleinbrook pushed the roommate on his way upstairs. The roommate also showed investigators threatening text messages Kleinbrook had allegedly sent him.
Police say Kleinbrook and his roommate have a history of harassing each other, including another call two days earlier.
Kleinbrook is charged with Assault and 2nd Degree Harassment. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 13 months in jail. A preliminary hearing is set for Monday.
