Oakdale escapee captured in IC

Iowa City Police have captured an escapee from the Oakdale prison facility in Coralville.
Officers were called to an address on Shamrock Place at 7pm December 21st for a harassment call. Police say during the investigation 22-year-old Patrick Harvey gave the name “Patrick Cristens”. Harvey allegedly told investigators he needed to get something from inside the residence, then fled out the back door.
Officers returned to the Shamrock Place residence at 11pm that night and could see Harvey inside. When questioned, he again allegedly gave the name “Patrick Cristens”, and again attempted to flee. This time, he was caught after a brief foot chase.
Officers were eventually able to determine Harvey’s true identity, discovering he was wanted as an escapee from Oakdale. He’s charged with two counts each of Providing False Identification Information and Interference with Official Acts. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 120 days in jail.
