A woman accused of a robbery and shots fired incident at the Iowa City Marketplace has pleaded guilty.

Online records show 27-year-old Sara Schrader entered the plea Friday in Johnson County District Court.

Police say Schrader and 29-year-old Michael Shapcott, who lives with Schrader on Spruce Street, went to Aaron’s Rental on the west end of the shopping center the afternoon of Sept. 3. Schrader allegedly went inside and took cash from the register. When an employee stopped her, police say Schrader fled to Shapcott’s vehicle.

The pair are then accused of firing multiple rounds from handguns at the store as they left, with police saying at least two of those shots entered the store and several others hit the building.

No injuries were reported.

The two are charged with 2nd Degree Criminal Mischief, Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, Reckless Use of a Firearm Causing Property Damage, and Possession of a Firearm While Under the Influence. It is unclear to which charges Schrader pleaded guilty, or if the charges were reduced in a plea deal.

Shapcott faces a plea hearing on March 1st.
