CCA receives grant to aid start-up of FFA program

The $2500 will go toward the program rebooted this school year

The Clear Creek Amana Future Farmers of America group has received a $2500 grant to aid in its start-up.

The grant from the Farm Credit Service of America’s Working Here Fund will go to the program rebooted this school year as part of the addition of an agriculture education program approved by the school board.

In a news release, ag education teacher Alyssa Amelon said “the students will be equipped with the leadership and communication skills needed to stay current and competitive in the job market” through the program.

CCA was one of 10 organizations to receive an FCSA grant.
