Allegedly mangling a set of doors at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics could cost a Marion man five years in prison.

Police say Tayten Printz, 19, was being treated at the UIHC on Feb. 6 but had been medically discharged about 4:30 p.m. Printz allegedly refused to leave when asked by a nurse on duty, beginning to kick the magnetic doors.

The nurse later told hospital security Printz continued to kick and damage the doors until they suffered $2500 in damages.

Printz was charged on Wednesday with 2nd Degree Criminal Mischief, a class D felony.
