A Coralville woman has been accused of “whipping” her child with a belt.

Officers were called to the Coral Court home of Tierra Robinson, 26, on Monday evening. Police say Robinson had whipped her eight-year-old child with a studded belt.

The child suffered injuries to her legs and a wrist, though the severity of those injuries is not detailed in arrest reports.

Robinson was booked into the Johnson County Jail about 3:40 Wednesday afternoon on a Child Endangerment Causing Bodily Injury charge. If convicted, she faces up to five years in prison.
