A Muscatine woman has been charged with her third OWI after putting her car in a ditch and telling officers that the wind blew it in there.

Arrest reports indicate that 34 year-old Kendra Krueger of Logan Street was driving on Wapsi Avenue Southeast in Lone Tree Wednesday afternoon when she allegedly lost control of her vehicle.

Krueger ended up in a ditch; witnesses say she tried to convince them to tow her out. When responders arrived, they witnessed Krueger slumped over the wheel. Krueger allegedly stated that the wind blew her off the road and admitted to drinking a couple of tall boys.

In the arrest report, officers noted that Krueger had horrible balance and failed field testing. She refused all other testing.

She was taken into custody and charged with operating while under the influence 3rd or subsequent offense, a class D felony punishable by up to five years in prison if convicted.
