Two hospitalized after Tiffin shooting

Two people have been hospitalized after a Wednesday night shooting in Tiffin.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a reported shooting at 480 Roberts Ferry Road just before midnight. A 9-1-1 caller said two individuals had been in a fight, and gunplay ensued.
Responding officers found the two subjects referenced in the call had both suffered gunshot wounds. They were transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The extent of their injuries has not been released.
The sheriff’s office says there is no continued threat to the public and more details will be released as the investigation continues.
