The manager of the Muscatine County dispatch and communications center has resigned.

The Muscatine County Joint Communication Commission voted Monday night to accept the resignation of 46-year-old Beverly Griffith.

Griffith is accused of faking hours on her time sheets, hours that investigators say she spent working as a bartender.

Griffith is charged with misdemeanor Tampering with Records. An arrest affidavit says she recorded hours on several time sheets in January and February that she didn’t work because she was tending bar.

Griffith was hired May 31st to manage the Muscatine County dispatch center after spending the past 10 years as a dispatch supervisor in Naples, Florida. She was placed on unpaid administrative leave following the allegations.
