A Muscatine man faces a felony stalking charge for allegedly harassing a woman in Lone Tree via phone and Facebook.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says 36-year-old Terry Norris of East 2nd Street was charged with Harassment on January 4th and given a no-contact order for the alleged victim on January 18th.

The Johnson County Attorney’s Office contacted sheriff’s deputies on February 26th alleging Norris had repeatedly contacted or attempted to contact the victim. The alleged victim told investigators Norris had contacted her in excess of hundreds of times…too many to count. He allegedly contacted her using various phone numbers, calling her names such as “whore”, “slut” and the c-word.

Norris also allegedly sent explicit pictures of the woman to her friends via Facebook Messenger. He also allegedly contacted her workplace in Lone Tree several times while she was working, wanting to know who she was with.

Norris was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 3pm Friday and charged with Stalking and Violating a No-Contact Order. If convicted, he faces a maximum of five years in prison.
