Sentencing has been set for a man accused of being the shooter in an armed robbery in Coralville back in December of 2017.

Police charged then 24-year-old Soloman Marshall in April 2018 with First Degree Robbery. He allegedly was the third man in connection with the robbery that occurred in the 500 block of 7th Street in Coralville on December 23rd 2017.

Police say Marshall, 21-year-old Markez Fox, and 19-year-old Artquon Kirksey met with the victim for a transaction that didn’t happen. As the victim got into a vehicle to leave, Marshall allegedly displayed a handgun and fired one shot into the vehicle, hitting the victim in the arm and chest.

Judge Andrew Chappell set the sentencing date for June 24th during a plea hearing Monday. He ordered Marshall to be held without bond until then.

Fox had charges pleaded down to first degree theft in January and was credited for time served. He agreed to a payment/restitution plan on court fines and costs last month. Kirksey’s plea hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
