A planned exhibit at the Hoover Presidential Library and Museum has now been cancelled due to some questions about some of the items loaned for the exhibit.

A news release from the facility says that items from the Rosetta Stone exhibit that were being prepared were called into question regarding their authenticity. The items were loaned by the Origins Museum Institute for the exhibition.

Due to those questions, the Library and Museum decided the responsible thing to do was to cancel the exhibit altogether. The staff is currently preparing an exhibit called “Collaborative Collectors: Herbert and Lou Hoover,” an exhibit of rarely displayed and unique personal items belonging to the former President and First Lady, that runs beginning May 18th.
