Five men are in federal custody after being charged with coercing and exploiting minors to perform sex acts for money in Johnson and Linn counties.

A release reports the investigation was led by the Iowa City Police and assisted by Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Coralville Police, and the FBI.

The men indicted by a federal grand jury are 25-year-old Arrion Marcus West, 39-year-old Albert Kelly Price, 52-year-old Kendall Andrew Streb, 40-year-old Tommy Tate Collins, and 21-year-old Isaiah Devon Patterson.

The Press-Citizen reports that each suspect is accused of trafficking between 1-3 victims under the age of 18, and three of them allegedly distributed drugs to the minors, and some of them used force, fraud and coercion to make the victims perform sex work.

The alleged incidents occurred between October 2018 and February of this year.

Sex Trafficking by Force, Fraud or Coercion is a felony punishable by a mandatory minimum of fifteen years to as much as life; Sex Trafficking without force is a mandatory ten years to life sentence.

The men are awaiting a trial date in federal court in Des Moines.
