Allegedly fighting with Iowa City Police officers has led to the arrest of a Cedar Rapids woman.

Officers were dispatched to the Ped Mall just before 11:45 Saturday night for a belligerent woman fighting with people in line at The Fieldhouse. The woman, identified as 26-year-old Molly Davis of Sherman Street Northeast, left before officers arrived. She was located and brought back to The Fieldhouse, where staff identified her as the one causing issues.

Davis showed multiple signs of intoxication and admitted to being drunk. She refused breath testing and was arrested for Public Intoxication.

Davis allegedly tried to pull away as an officer was trying to handcuff her. She was taken to the ground, where she allegedly continued struggling. One officer says Davis tried to bite his right hand. The officer sustained an abrasion to his right wrist, causing bleeding. Davis was eventually pepper sprayed.

Davis now faces an additional charges of Interference with Official Acts Causing Bodily Injury and Assault on Persons In Certain Occupations. If convicted on all charges, she faces a maximum of 25 months in prison.
