A Wisconsin woman faces a felony burglary charge after allegedly breaking into an Iowa City mobile home to confront the father of her child.

Iowa City Police were called to the Cole’s manufactured housing community just before 9:30 Wednesday night for a subject “going crazy” and hitting pedestrians. An investigation determined that 31-year-old Tera Redfearn of Hazelton, Wisconsin had driven to Iowa City to confront the father of their child. Redfearn allegedly kicked in the front door, which had been locked shut with a dead bolt, and started a verbal and physical altercation. The father suffered injuries as a result of the incident, and the child was present during the altercation.

Witnesses corroborated the accusations against Redfearn.

Redfearn is charged with 1st Degree Burglary, Child Endangerment and Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Bodily Injury. She faces an additional charge of Driving While Revoked after allegedly driving from Wisconsin to Iowa City on a revoked license.

If convicted on all charges, Redfearn faces a maximum of 29 years in prison.
