North Liberty Police say a Wisconsin woman was easy to track down after she allegedly wrote her own driver’s license number on a forged check.

31-year-old Tera Harris of Hazel Green, Wisconsin is accused of using a check stolen from a resident of the Holiday Lodge manufactured housing community at the Dubuque Wal-Mart on December 8th. Harris attempted to use the check to make a $1,460.23 purchase.

Investigators say Harris put her own driver’s license number on the stolen check, and her driver’s license picture matches the security video from Wal-Mart.

Harris is charged with Identity Theft of Over $1,000. If convicted, she faces a maximum of five years in prison.
