Coralville man arrested for harassing bar patrons
A Coralville man was taken into custody over the weekend after harassing patrons at a downtown Iowa City bar.
Arrest reports indicate that 22-year-old Dustin Murri of Coral Court was noticed at the Union Bar early Sunday morning harassing customers, offering them drugs, and being aggressive. An off-duty officer on the scene called police and an officer removed Murri from the bar.
Murri was observed with bloodshot watery eyes, impaired speech, and smelled of ingested alcohol. He allegedly blamed his behavior on the alcohol, and admitted to officers that he was “pretty drunk.”
Murri was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication, a simple misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of 30 days in jail.
