Coralville man accused of throwing a chair at his girlfriend

Allegedly throwing a chair at his girlfriend has led to a Coralville man’s arrest.

Coralville Police say 32-year-old Alain Ndombele of 6^th Avenue was involved in a physical altercation with his girlfriend around 7:30 Friday morning. Ndombele allegedly threw a chair at the woman, striking her in the lower back. The woman complained of pain and suffered an abrasion.

Ndombele and the woman are the parents of two minor children. He’s charged with Domestic Abuse Assault, a Simple Misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of 30 days in jail.
