An Iowa City man faces charges after he was caught allegedly stealing a bicycle.
Iowa City Police say 36-year-old Joshua Kelley of Davis Street is seen on security video cutting the lock on a bicycle parked outside Planet 3 Extreme Air Park on Highway 6 East just before 4:15 Sunday afternoon. Kelley is then seen riding the bicycle away. The bike is valued at $820.
The bicycle was later recovered, and Kelley was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 7:15 Tuesday night. He’s charged with 3rd Degree Theft, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of two years in prison.
