A Marion woman faces multiple drug charges after a traffic stop in North Liberty yielded 22 baggies of marijuana and dozens of containers of THC edibles.

20-year-old Alyssa Aubrey of 44th Street was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 2:15 Wednesday morning. North Liberty Police say Aubrey was pulled over for speeding at 12:15am on July 14th near the corner of Front Street and Golfview Drive. A police K9 alerted on Aubrey’s vehicle, and a subsequent search turned up almost 1.5 pounds of marijuana in 22 separate baggies, 45 containers of THC edibles, five grams of THC wax and a THC cartridge.

Aubrey is charged with a Controlled Substance Violation and a Drug Tax Stamp Violation. If convicted on both charges, she faces a maximum of ten years in prison.
