ICPD investigates armed robbery at Town & Campus

Iowa City Police are investigating a late Tuesday night armed robbery at the Town & Campus Apartments.

According to an ICPD news release, officers were called to the apartments at 1100 Arthur Street just before 11:45pm for a report of an armed robbery that occurred about ten minutes prior. Investigators located the victim, a pizza delivery driver, who reported being threatened by a subject with a firearm while attempting to deliver a pizza in the area. The subject demanded money, but only got away with the pizza before fleeing the area on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing an unknown color hooded sweatshirt, shorts and a flat bill baseball cap. The weapon displayed is described as a darker colored pistol. There were no injuries resulting from this incident.

This remains under investigation and anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-5276.
