An Iowa City woman and her companion were found partially clothed in a running vehicle when she was arrested on OWI charges Thursday morning.
Officers came upon the scene at about 9:30am in the 1000 block of Silvercrest Circle. Officers noted that both the driver, identified as 22-year-old Orlanda Littlelight, and her passenger were passed out. Both were partially clothed and had been called in by a resident.
It took a couple of attempts to wake Littlelight, who responded by stepping on the gas, revving the vehicle. The male passenger was directed to shut the vehicle off as Littlelight reportedly was unable to follow directions.
Littlelight was checked out by personnel from the Johnson County Ambulance Service before field testing, which she failed. A DRE concluded that she was under the influence.
Littlelight was charged with her first OWI, a serious misdemeanor.
