Allegedly scratching the word “BITCH” into the side of a man’s car has led to an Iowa City woman’s arrest.
Iowa City Police say 24-year-old Ty’Eisha Peaks of Woodside Drive got into an argument with the man about their relationship around 7:45 Saturday morning. Peaks then allegedly followed the man around town in her car, finally stopping at his Heinz Road apartment. An argument ensued, and Peaks allegedly used her keys to scratch the word “BITCH” into the driver’s side door of the man’s car. The paint flakes were still on the edges of the scratches when police arrived at the scene, indicating the incident had just occurred.
Peaks admitted to arguing with the man, but said she had no idea how the car got scratched.
Peaks is charged with 3rd Degree Criminal Mischief, an Aggravated Misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of two years in prison.
