Leaving a bag of photographs at the doorstep of the subject of a no-contact order has led to an Iowa City man’s arrest.

Iowa City Police say 32-year-old Ranakul Islam of Oakcrest Street left a bag of recently-developed photographs and a handwritten note at the door of an apartment on Woodside Place sometime between October 1st and October 10th. A resident of the apartment has a no-contact order against Islam, and was able to identify his handwriting on the note.

Islam is charged with violating a no-contact order. A contempt hearing is set for November 12th.

Online records show the order was issued after Islam was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault on September 27th.
