A Coralville man has been arrested and charged with multiple counts involving indecent contact with a minor child.

According to police, the incidents occurred between July 20th 2018 and October 25th of this year.

36-year-old Robin Castillo Fuentes of 16th Avenue allegedly forced the child to partially disrobe, then reportedly used his hands and mouth to kiss and fondle the minor child inappropriately on multiple occasions. Fuentes allegedly admitted to the acts.

Police say Castillo Fuentes was in a position of authority over the child, a member of the household, at the time of the incidents. Reports say the victim at times would try to deflect Castillo Fuentes’ actions by rolling their body away from him, but he reportedly would grab the child’s arms to roll them closer to him. The victim said the actions caused pain to their arms.

Castillo Fuentes was picked up on warrants Monday afternoon, and charged with two counts of child endangerment causing injury, 14 counts of indecent contact with a child, 13 charges of child endangerment, and 16 counts of lascivious conduct with a minor child. If convicted on all charges, he could be sentenced to a maximum prison term of 80 years.
