University of Iowa officials have announced the death of a student earlier this week.
According to a Tuesday email sent to students by UI Dean of Students Angie Reams, third-year enterprise leadership major Jeff Vipond died on Monday.
No details about the death have been released.
The email says the UI encourages students to reach out to resources and support systems on campus. Students who wish to speak privately to University Counseling Services should call 319-335-7294 to arrange an appointment. The UI Faculty and Staff Services Employee Assistance Program is available for faculty and staff, and can be reached at 319-335-2085.
