Victim identified in Christmas night Boston Way shooting

Coralville Police have identified the victim who was killed Christmas night in a shooting on Boston Way.

30-year-old Gregory Jackson of Iowa City died of his injuries at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Jackson was one of three people shot just after 9:30 Wednesday night on the 900 block of Boston Way. The remaining two victims have non-life-threatening injuries.

Coralville Police say it appears all the involved parties knew each other and the shootings were not a random attack. No one is in custody at this time.

Shell casings and other evidence was recovered from the scene and the area is no longer restricted access.

This case remains under investigation.
