An employee at the North Dodge HyVee in Iowa City has tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to a statement from the company, the woman tested positive after DJ Don Morrison performed in the Market Grille area and he was in contact with him. Morrison had not been diagnosed with COVID 19 at the time, but developed symptoms starting March 13th and was admitted to the UIHC on the 14th and tested positive for the coronavirus on the 15th. He has since been released and is recovering at home.
Once the woman’s diagnosis was confirmed, store officials say they followed all appropriate safety, sanitation and cleaning procedures.
The woman wasn’t working at the store when she developed symptoms. The store remains open with the same limited hours as other locations, 8am to 8pm and special senior and high-risk shoppers from 7am-8am.
