An employee at the Iowa City VA Health Care has tested positive for coronavirus.
According to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, the employee is home in isolation, and members of the staff who were in close contact with the employee are also isolating at home.
The VA is screening veterans and staff that have symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, dry cough and shortness of breath.
Also on Wednesday, Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids announced that one of its employees at it manufacturing facility has tested positive.
The company announced that they’ve identified employees who worked closely with the patient, and have asked them to self-quarantine for 14 days. Certain production lines and common areas have been closed for deep cleaning.
The Gazette says the company stated that there’s no evidence of food or food packaging being a part of coronavirus transmission.
