An Iowa City man was taken into custody after an alleged domestic incident.
According to police, officers responded to the 300 block of Orchid Court Sunday at 11:43pm for a report of a domestic assault. A family member of the victim notified dispatch that the woman had been knocked out.
When officers arrived, the woman said that 22-year-old Samuel Linneman, who has two children with the woman, argued with her about a cellphone and allegedly pushed her into a wall and jumped on her. She complained of pain on the right side of her head and she had bruising on her right ear. She also reportedly had scratches from her arms due to the incident.
The woman was transported to a local hospital for concussion protocol due to her having lost consciousness.
Linneman is also accused of breaking out a window on the second floor near the bedrooms. The children, a two-year-old girl and a four-month old baby were present during the alleged altercation.
Linneman is charged with domestic abuse assault causing injury, and child endangerment. If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to three years in prison.
