The Iowa City Community School District added two new locations for meal pickup after serving over 10,000 meals last week.
Per the ICCSD website, they’ve added Mann Elementary and Southeast Junior High to the schools where meals can be picked up between 11am and 1pm. The other schools are City High, Hills Elementary, North Central Junior High, Northwest Junior High, Twain Elementary ,
West High, and Wood Elementary.
In addition, meals can be picked up at Cole’s, Forest View, and Lakeridge Mobile Home parks between 11 and 11:50 and, and at Breckenridge, Hilltop and Regency Mobile Home parks between 12:10 and 1pm.
Rules have been relaxed during this time so that parents or guardians can pick up the meals, which include lunch and breakfast for the next day, without the children being present.
Cedar Rapids Community Schools are also offering grab and go meals weekdays from 10:30am to 1pm at the following elementary schools: Arthur, Grant, Grant Wood, Hoover, Johnson, Nixon, Taylor and Wright, as well as Roosevelt Middle School.
