Coronavirus cases in Iowa top 600

Another 66 cases of COVID 19 were announced in Iowa Thursday, bringing the total to 614.
Linn County continues to lead the state in the amount of cases, with 105, followed by Polk County with 87 and Johnson County with 80.
The Iowa Department of Public Health says that there are over 8000 negative test results for the coronavirus from the State Hygienic Lab in Iowa City and other labs across the state.
There are now 11 deaths associated with the COVID-19 outbreak. 74 are currently hospitalized, 46 have been discharged and are recovering, and 347 did not require hospitalization.
Johnson County Public Health announced Thursday that 42 residents have recovered from COVID19, are no longer considered infectious, and are now under the same recommendations as the general public.
As social distancing and precautions are continuing to be more stressful, the IDPH reminds Iowans to read and listen to trusted sources, unplug when the information gets overwhelming, get plenty of sleep, exercise, and control what you can by washing your hands, using social distancing, and staying at home whenever possible.
