Allegedly threatening her live-in boyfriend with a knife has led to the arrest of an area woman.
Police say that just before 10pm Sunday, 45-year-old Lindsay Leonard, whose address is listed as Tulip Avenue in Riverside, got into an argument with her boyfriend. Records indicate that they live together on the 500 block of Elkhorn Trail in Iowa City.
At one point, Leonard is accused of grabbing a knife and saying to her boyfriend, “I’m going to kill you” and pointed the knife in his direction.
Leonard was taken into custody and charged with domestic abuse assualt with the display or use of a weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a prison term of up to two years if convicted. A no-contact order was requested between the two parties involved.
