One person was arrested after a Friday night fight on Iowa City’s southeast side.
Iowa City Police were called to 1421 Sycamore Street just before 10pm Friday for a fight in progress. Arriving officers spoke with multiple witnesses who said 57-year-old Benjamin Gordon of Iowa Avenue had punched another man in the face, causing a bloody lip.
Gordon was arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, he faces a maximum of one year in jail.
