The University of Iowa has announced plans for a return to in-person classes this fall.

The brief announcement came Friday night on the school’s web site. The entirety of the statement reads: “The University of Iowa plans to resume face-to-face instruction for the fall 2020 semester. The university is committed to the safety and well-being of its students, faculty, and staff and will implement recommended best practices for limiting exposure to COVID-19 in a campus setting.”

The UI cancelled in-person classes for the rest of the spring semester during spring break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, having students instead take classes remotely on-line. Summer classes were also cancelled.
