A Chicago woman made a series of mistakes that called attention to her and led to her arrest for possession of ecstasy.
According to police, they stopped 35-year-old Shari Holliday at Keokuk Street and Southgate Boulevard Monday afternoon just after 4:30 as her registration had expired, a brake light wasn’t functioning, and she reportedly threw litter out of her Dodge Caravan.
A probable cause search of the occupants found a purse that contained 14 pills. Holliday reportedly admitted the purse was hers and the pills were ecstasy.
She was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to one year.
