A Los Angeles man was arrested Monday night after threatening and using a racial epithet on an Iowa City hotel employee.
According to arrest reports, 63-year-old Massoud Goharbawang was in the lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn just after 11pm and became upset with the employee working at the front desk.
Goharbawang allegedly told the employee he was going to slit his throat, and called the employee the n-word. Goharbawang also is accused of making several motions to suggest he was going to hit the employee. He also allegedly threw items from the front desk all over the hotel lobby floor.
Arriving officers found Goharbawang in the lobby; a post-arrest PBT showed no alcohol in his system.
