IC Animal Services seeking owner of dog who bit resident

Iowa City Animal Services is seeking information on a dog who allegedly bit a resident Sunday.

A news release from the city indicates the incident occurred around 7pm in an alley north of Mercy Hospital near a red dumpster. The dog is described as medium sized, with a black and white coat, and possibly being a terrier or pug mix with a curly tail.

Animal Services is seeking the owner of the dog to verify rabies vaccination information. If anyone has information about the identity of the owner, they’re encouraged to contact Iowa City Police at 356-6800 or Animal Services directly at 356-5295.
