IC Police investigating shots fired incident

Iowa City Police are investigating a shots fired incident in the overnight hours Tuesday.

According to a release from the Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired at 2219 Taylor Drive at approximately 2:49am. Upon arrival, multiple items of evidence were discovered indicating that shots were fired in and around a residence.

One victim was still on scene, suffering from minor injuries.

No additional information is being released at this time, as this is an active investigation. Police are asking any residents with information about the shooting to contact them  at 356-5276.  They’re also asking anyone with security cameras to review their footage and contact them if they have any potential footage or information pertaining to the incident.
