A man arrested by Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies late last month has now been charged in connection with several Cedar Rapids burglaries.

23-year-old Dallas Clark of Hiawatha was pulled over at 5:48am on June 27th after running a stop sign at Highway 965 and 120th Street, just east of Swisher. Clark’s truck contained several tools, bicycles and other items the arresting officer believed to be stolen. Online records show Clark has multiple theft and burglary convictions out of Linn County, and is currently awaiting an August sentencing on one 2nd Degree Theft and two 3rd Degree Burglary charges. He was arrested and charged with Driving While Barred.

Cedar Rapids Police now say Clark faces more charges after officers executed a search warrant on Wednesday at 1615 Richmond Road NE.  Several items that had been reported stolen from burglaries were recovered inside the residence.

Clark faces five counts of 3rd Degree Burglary and one count of 2nd Degree Theft.

Clark is the suspect in recent thefts from Northland Self Storage, The Blind Pig, Discovery Living, ImOn Communications and a Modern Piping construction vehicle. The thefts were reported between June 23rd and June 28th.

If convicted on all six charges, Clark faces a maximum of 30 years in prison.
