A patient at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics faces charges that she assaulted someone else at the facility last month.

30-year-old Alissa Walls of the Parkview manufactured housing community in Oxford was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 1:30 Sunday morning. UI Police say Walls was being treated on the second floor of the Pappajohn Pavilion just before 6pm on June 27th when she got upset over statements the alleged victim made and attacked her. The woman had a small cut on her hand and complained of pain and swelling on her head behind her hair.

Walls is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, she faces a maximum of one year in jail.
