Cedar Rapids Police are seeking information about a robbery that occurred Thursday evening.
According to a release from the CRPD, a 27 year old woman was walking on the roadway near Noelridge Park when a black man, approximately 6 feet tall and wearing a grey hoodie, walked by and attempted to talk with her. She kept walking, but noticed a light grey Kia SUV approach her. The same man that attempted to talk with her earlier exited the vehicle and asked for directions. He then approached the woman and grabbed her by the neck. She was able to strike the man and he ran off, but not before taking her cellphone.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation.
