An Iowa City woman was taken into custody Thursday afternoon after allegedly threatening another woman with a knife.
Police say 23-year-old Savana Vasquez of the Bon Aire Mobile Home Lodge was involved in an altercation in the parking lot of the Lakeview OHV Park on 140th Street in Solon at around 4:20pm. Vasquez reportedly had an incident with another woman over a friend’s infidelity matter. The victim told authorities that Vasquez pulled a knife and continued to follow her around in a manner that frightened the woman and made her fear for her safety.
Vasquez was arrested and charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a prison term of up to two years if convicted.
