Iowa City Police are investigating an overnight robbery just south of downtown.
According to a release from the city, police responded to a report of a robbery in the 300 block of East Court Street at approximately 2:25am. The victim was located, and reported being assaulted by three males demanding money. The victim complied and the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money and/or property.
The males were described as having dark skin, in their early 20’s and wearing dark clothing.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Officer Bard Reinhard at 319-356-5275. Area residents are being asked to review any security camera footage from around that time and contact police if they have any potential footage or information.
