CR Police identify body found near I-380, seek car associated with victim


Cedar Rapids Police have identified the body found earlier this week next to Interstate 380.

The CRPD says the body of 61-year-old Neva Jean Rhyne of Indianapolis was found at 3:52 Monday afternoon alongside I-380 southbound near Wright Brothers Boulevard by a Department of Transportation employee.

The circumstances of the death are part of an active, ongoing investigation. The CRPD is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Rhyne’s vehicle, which is a white 2005 Buick LaSabre with Indiana license plate 810MHR.  Police are also asking anyone who may have seen the victim since Friday, September 25th after 10 p.m. to contact investigators.
