The University of Iowa has updated its COVID-19 statistics.

According to a Friday update on the school’s coronavirus information web site, ten new COVID-19 cases have been reported among students since Wednesday and seven among UI employees. That’s a total of 2,075 student cases and 70 employee cases since the fall semester began.

One residence hall occupant is currently under quarantine and four are in self-isolation. Quarantine is used to keep someone who might have been exposed to COVID-19 away from others, while self-isolation is used to separate people infected with the virus from people who are not infected.
