West High School is retiring the “Women of Troy” nickname for its women’s sports teams.
That announcement came in a Friday e-mail to the media from West High Athletic Director Craig Huegel. Huegel says going forward, women’s teams at the school will be known as “The Iowa City West Trojans”, the same name used by the men’s teams.
